Terms for using PocketPaisa.

2. PocketPaisa Service

PocketPaisa is a personal ledger app. It helps users record income and expenses, organize categories, review statistics, import eligible SMS transaction drafts, attach receipt photos, optionally add an approximate city or area to a transaction, and export CSV files. PocketPaisa accesses approximate location only when you actively choose to add a location while adding or editing a transaction. The resulting location text is stored with the transaction on your device only. By default your data stays in local storage on your device. PocketPaisa also offers an optional account and cloud backup and sync that you can choose to enable; these features are described in section 5 and are off unless you turn them on.

PocketPaisa is not a bank, payment provider, investment adviser, lending service, credit product, tax adviser, or accounting firm. Records shown in the app are for your personal reference. You are responsible for checking accuracy before relying on exported or cleared data.

3. Eligibility

You may use PocketPaisa only if you can lawfully enter into these Terms and manage your own app records. You are responsible for the records you create and for any data you choose to export.

4. Your Records

You control the records you create in PocketPaisa. By default, records stay on your device and remain there unless you delete them, clear local transaction data, export them yourself, uninstall the app, or clear app storage. If you enable the optional cloud backup and sync described in section 5, a copy of your ledger entries may also be stored on our gateway until you clear it.

• Clear local transaction data deletes local transaction records, including any locally stored location text, pending SMS drafts, and receipt images from the device.
• CSV export creates a copy of eligible record fields through the system file picker; you choose where it is saved or sent. Location information is excluded from CSV exports.
• If you have not enabled cloud backup, PocketPaisa keeps no server-side copy of your records, so deleting data on your device removes it completely. If you have enabled cloud backup, you can remove the cloud copy using Clear cloud data as described in section 5.

You should review confirmation dialogs and keep your own copies of important records before using destructive actions.

5. Optional Account and Cloud Backup

PocketPaisa can be used entirely on your device without an account. Signing in and using cloud backup are optional and only happen when you choose to turn them on.

• Optional account. You may create or access an account by signing in with your phone number and a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your phone number and OTP delivery usable so you can continue to access your account, and for the security of the device where you stay signed in.
• Opt-in, user-initiated backup and sync. When you are signed in, you can choose to upload your ledger entries to our gateway and download them to your other devices. This only happens when you initiate it; it is not automatic and does not run unless you sign in and start it.
• What is uploaded. Cloud backup covers only the amount, income or expense type, category, note, merchant, and date and time of each ledger entry. Raw SMS message text, receipt photos, and location information are excluded from cloud backup and sync.
• Encryption in transit. Network traffic between the app and our gateway is encrypted in transit.
• Your controls. You can use Clear cloud data to remove the cloud copy of your records, Logout to clear the signed-in session on your device, and account deletion to remove your account. Clearing local data and clearing cloud data are separate actions.

These cloud features are optional. A user who never signs in stores all records locally on their device only.

6. Permissions

SMS, camera, and approximate location are optional Android runtime permissions. You may deny any of them and continue using manual ledger features, although the related optional feature will not work. SMS drafts and receipt photos are processed on your device and are not sent to our gateway. Approximate location is requested only after you choose to add a location while adding or editing a transaction. It is used to create a city or area label that is stored locally with that transaction and is excluded from cloud backup and sync, CSV export, analytics, attribution, and other data reporting. PocketPaisa does not request precise or background location and does not continuously track you.

INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE are Android normal permissions, so Android does not show a runtime permission prompt for them. ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE is used only on your device to check whether a network connection is available before a network-dependent feature runs. It does not provide Internet access or reveal network traffic content, and PocketPaisa does not save or transmit the detected network state.

7. Acceptable Use

• Do not use PocketPaisa for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or harmful activity.
• Do not attempt to disrupt or tamper with the app or its security controls.
• Do not use exported records or app content in a way that violates another person's rights or applicable law.

8. Availability and Changes

PocketPaisa may change, suspend, or discontinue features in future versions. We aim to provide a reliable app, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or compatible with every device.

9. Disclaimers

PocketPaisa is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee financial, accounting, tax, compliance, business, or legal outcomes from using the app. You are responsible for verifying entries, SMS drafts, and exports.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketPaisa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the app.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, legal requirements, or service practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
